Coral Bay, St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands
Sand: More than 40 beaches on the island — many protected by a national park.
Things To See: Long a hippie-ish hideout for old salts and new beach bums, the funky little town has none of the bling and bustle of sister islands St. Thomas and St. Croix. Here, the economy depends on the sale of tropical trinkets from rickety shacks and bikinis from a VW bus. The unofficial town hall is Skinny Legs, a beachfront bar where the burger selections are scrawled on an old windsurfing board and an old sail serves as the awning.
Sand: Three and a half miles of white-sand beaches on a long hook of land.
Things To See: To avoid the traffic of crustacean-seeking crowds, you’ll want to ditch the car. Snag a parking spot at Footbridge Bridge early in the morning ($15 for the day) and take the trolley back into town for blueberry pancakes at Bessie’s. Then stroll with a cup of coffee through the galleries and too-cute shops. Cross back over at Ogunquit Beach to find the spot you’ve staked in the sand.
Place To Stay: Dunes on the Waterfront has screened porches and Adirondack chairs just 200 yards from the main beach.
Mexico Beach, Florida
Sand: Three miles of confectioners’-sugar sands, you’ll see bald eagles, sea turtles, dolphins — and only a few footprints.
Things To See: The 1,200 residents focus is on small-town fun, with gumbo cook-offs, kingfish tournaments, and fireworks fundraisers. You can kill two beach birds with one stone at the souvenirs-and-seafood shop Shell Shack. If you want to get off the beach, take a scuba dive through a sunken oil tanker just offshore.
Place To Stay: The Driftwood Inn’s rooms have four-poster beds. The back deck has DIY barbecue grills.
Newport, Rhode Island
Sand: Exclusive clubs beaches to free, secluded spots on Aquidneck Island.
Things To See: Newport has a dramatic, ocean-crashing-on-rocks side facing the Atlantic; a cutesy, colonial side facing Narragansett Bay; and a third, Rhode Island Sound?oriented side that’s swept with beaches. Easton’s Beach (better known as First Beach) is the classic Americana spot, with a carousel, snack bar, and cabanas; Sachuset (Second) Beach is a 1.25-mile stretch below St. George’s prep school that catches the crowd runoff. Third Beach is a quiet spot for kiteboarding, kayaking, and bird-watching.
Saugatuck, Michigan
Sand: Dunes that will remind you of Cape Cod, and beaches that mimic Malibu — right in the heart of the Midwest.
Things To See: The historic, gallery-lined town has long drawn visitors. Beachgoers can cross the bridge or board a 1913 hand-cranked ferry. The ride costs a $1 and rewards passengers with the unspoiled stretch of Oval Beach, which frequently finds itself listed as one of the world’s best — despite being miles from any ocean. The nearby Saugatuck Dunes State Park has two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, 200-foot-tall dunes, and 1,000 acres of hiking terrain.

Cuba Libre
Literally, Free Cuba, the largest of the Greater Antilles islands in the Caribbean and the closest in distance to the United States of America. At its closest point, it is barely eighty miles away from the USA southeastern tip. But considering that you did not visit this site to learn geography or politics, here’s the recipe:
Ingredients
• Rum
• Coca-Cola
• Lemon
• Ice
Fill a 9-ounce glass with ice cubes. Pour Coca-Cola in down the sides of the glass to avoid a bubbling effect. Add a squeeze of lemon. Stir. Pour in one shot glass full of Rum. Sip.

Piña Colada
is now known around the world as a symbol of the Tropics. Here’s a possible beginning for your own romantic happenings:

• 6 ounces Rum
• 3 to 4 cups of Ice
• Cherries
• Slices of pineapple, orange or lime

In a blender, grind ice while gradually adding the pineapple, coconut cream and rum. Alternatively, use shaved ice. The ice should be thick enough to hold a cherry on top without sinking in. Serve in a tall glass with a straw. Garnish with one cherry and a slice of fruit. Insert a paper umbrella for that additional tropical, exotic touch.
Omit the rum for a delicious non-alcoholic Piña Colada.

For a weddings that makes a lifelong impression on your guests and loved one, beach weddings are the closest you can get to an unforgettable wedding experience. Anyone who has ever had one will tell you there is no words to describe the magic wavelength felt by everyone gathered, at sea side for this event. It simply makes for a most serene atmosphere in which to find oneself in.
It is advisable for would-be couples to get a wedding planner. Since this simply takes the weight of organizing this event, off the shoulders. A good e-book guide I recommend to take care of arrangements is a very cost effective means to get it done ,and done right since there are many things to do. However professionals who do this are accustomed to doing just this, they have planned many weddings before and are not likely to overlook anything.Leaving it in their hands ensures you and your guest simply just have to show up and enjoy. This great day in the far off exotic beach destination of your choice.
I recommend a very well researched e-book based on extensive survey questions compiled to cover all the bases in a flawless manner. The return on investment will be significant due to it saving you time and energy in finding the right choice of wedding planners for your needs and budget.Since a beach wedding does not need to cost a lot more then a conventional going to the chapel type.
A beach wedding can be a informal affair that allows everybody to be involved yet very relax. Guests can dress comfortably and affordably, the wedding ceremony and reception can both be held right there on the beach with no need to travel to different locations making it very convenient for everybody and kids just love it. You can hire the whole thing out, or, you can do it yourself. The decision is entirely up to you however my plain simple e-book guide can make you a pro in a matter of a few hours of reading up on how to do,and do it right without breaking the bank.

Wedding trends for this year are being determined by the American economy. As a result of the uncertain financial situation, couples are deciding to have smaller and less expensive weddings. There are many ways to cut down on wedding expenses that do not include cutting out the magical appeal and and white-wedding dream. We invite you to shop today and save on all of your beach theme wedding favors and accessories. Coupon Code: Save01
Vintage is in this year, which means you can save a great deal of money by wearing your mothers or grandmothers dress. It may have been a classic gown that can be re-used easily by adding some accents and accessories. Having a destination wedding is a fabulous way to save money and you can take that vintage dress and cut it to a length that is more suitable for the beach – and voila you have a new & improved style!
Another way to get to that perfect beach wedding that you’ve always wanted is to consider cutting down on the number of guests. Food & drinks are a big cost in a wedding and the less you have to feed the less you will spend. Try sparkling wine rather than expensive champagne. The only difference in most cases is that Champagne is made in France whereas the other bubbly’s are made in another country and cannot be called ‘champagne’. Find out if that resort or hotel where you have your beach wedding will allow you to bring in your own alcohol, or even better, see if you can have the reception on the beach picnic area!
Another popular wedding trend this year is colour. This works perfectly with a destination wedding theme. You’ll have a natural backdrop of turquoise seas and clear blue skies and a lot of tropical flowers . A simple white wedding dress, and a bright colourful embroidered trim, beading or colourful sashes can be added easily. With a destination wedding it’s easily to try a popular off the shoulder dress. If you are looking to save money and not be too formal the vintage dress cut short may be a good choice.
If you have someone artistic in your family see if they can help with some low cost decorations. Keep in mind you want wedding favors that suit your colorful theme. Simple and cost effective works best! Find some shells & rocks and have them polished to put on the tables. Use sand and bamboo plants for added decoration. If you cannot find all these items try a local beach wedding shop when you get there so you don’t have to pack anything. You’ll probably easily find everything you need to decorate on the shores of the local beach.

To create that perfect Caribbean destination wedding without blowing your budget, try doing your own shopping for favors and tokens instead of having your decorator do it for you. In fact, most of the fun in planning a wedding is getting the cake boxes you always imagined! Use a wedding coordinator who has experience in planning destination weddings, or who knows the Caribbean well, to help you put your ideas together, but make sure that you get most of your own ideas in, so that your big day is just as you imagined it would be. There are many ways that you can bring jewel tones into your wedding decor.
Invitations: Your invitation is the first glimpse into your wedding, so choose carefully! Color combinations such as different reds, oranges, and blues with rich accents create a stunning effect. One way to do this is to select a main color for the invitation pocket. For an elegant touch, try a metallic hue. Add the accent color on the inside of the invitation and use the actual invitation paper outside. To finish up with flair, seal the invitation with a jewel or elegant ribbon. An alternative to this is Indian-styled scroll invitations that reach your guests in, not an ordinary envelope, but a box!
Setting: If you’re planning a beach wedding or an indoor one, be sure to include some natural aspects of the lush and tropical surroundings by bringing more green into your wedding bouquets and tables. If you’re having an indoor wedding, use ficus plants and cover the pots with your theme color. Add some romance by decorating the plants with fairy lights. If you’re having your an outdoor wedding, create an amazing ‘enchanted’ garden by hanging colored Chinese lanterns that match with your theme colour. Hang white lanterns and colored light bulbs for softness and intimacy.
Cuisine: An exciting aspect of having a Caribbean destination wedding is being able to use food from a culture that’s not your own! You can use a colorful blend of Chinese, Indian, and Creole dishes, or even some Mediterranean cuisine for a nice addition to your menu. Some simply irresistible and eye-catching finger foods include samosas, seafood kebabs, spring rolls, jerk pork, and prawns.
Dress: The Caribbean’s tropical climate gives you an opportunity to choose colors and experiment with unique combinations without being limited by seasons. Chocolate brown as an accent color is a hot favorite, and fresh, bright colors such as lemon, tangerine, and green are also becoming very popular. Borrow from the Caribbean’s diverse cultural heritage by using bold colours and heavy beading wherever you can on your gown and other wedding attire. For instance, Eastern-inspired looks such as sari-style dresses with intricate beading will surely give exotic allure to your bridal gown. And, if your bridal party is made up of different ethnicities, it’s a great idea to use color combinations that will enhance each member’s skin tone and complexion. Remember to take inspiration from your favorite jewels, choose colors that you love, and be daring! Your wedding is the day where you can go all out with your ideas.
Destination brides, make sure to use the free tools like the budget calculator and free wedding website that can help you to bring your wedding planning to life and keep you on track.

Would Love to tie the knot on a tropical beach? A destination wedding offers a backdrop for your nuptials that many domestic locales can’t match. With that beauty, though, comes a unique set of challenges. Here are five important tips for getting started planning your perfect destination wedding.
Start by choosing a location. You might have the exact location in mind already, but some people need to weigh the pros and cons of various places. Keep in mind that a destination wedding doesn’t have to mean international — anywhere more than a two-hour drive can be considered destination for those who stay close to home. Your budget is likely to be one of the largest determining factors, as a wedding in Australia will be significantly most expensive (for both you and your guests) than one in France.
Discuss things over with friends and family. A destination wedding is likely to cut down your guest list as it’s just not realistic for many to travel the distance. Make sure those who are vital to your happiness – your parents, siblings, bridal party and others – can make it, and then you can start firming up your guest list and looking at particular venues.
Get to know the wedding coordinator. He or she will be your best friend. The better you know them, the less likely they’ll delete your 48th email of the day asking if white calla lilies are native to their country.
Get to know the laws, both in your destination and at home. For most out-of-country weddings, you have to make it legal when you return from your wedding-moon. Some countries have residency restrictions – for example, you can’t get married in the Caribbean’s St. Martaan without residing there for 10 days.
Plan for after the wedding. Not only do you need to decide if you’re going to stay and party with your family and friends or whisk away to another location for your honeymoon, you also need to plan for what to do with all those wonderful gifts you receive. Make sure your guests have the option of sending gifts straight to your home residence.

Getting married in the Caribbean is one of
those classic wedding ideas and IslandWeddingFavors.com is perfect to get all
of your beach themed favors.
And, according to an article in USA Today, the popularity of these types of destination weddings has not flagged, even amid economic uncertainty.
“This is a recession-proof market,” Donald Foste of hotel chain Occidental told the news provider. “Brides are going to get married regardless of what’s happening in the economy.”
In fact, the article says that the industry is expecting to deal with roughly the same number of destination weddings in 2009 as it did last year.
One option that appeals to some couples who are looking to save money is holding their wedding at an all-inclusive resort.
These package deals often take care of many of the wedding planning essentials, such as lodging, food, drinks and the ceremony itself. That just leaves a few extra details – such as wedding photography – to think about.
But if you are getting married in the Caribbean, at least you know you’ll have a scenic backdrop to share the spotlight in the wedding album.
